Since the end of 2009, apart from service stations and workshops, Kremsmueller has also been supporting taxi companies all over Austria. After extensive additional training and a series of investments in new testing equipment, Kremsmueller is now in a position to provide services to this sector as well.

 

The most varied kinds of measuring instruments are used and they are all calibrated daily. The Peiseler wheel (see the photograph) measures the actual distance covered by the taxi correct to the millimetre. A special gauge and the official meter tariff are used to calculate a reference value. It if is the same as the reading shown on the taximeter, in keeping with the regulations, a test seal and adhesive are applied as a confirmation of the inspection.
